Hatsumi Soke has indicated that the ‘theme’ for the Bujinkan in 2010, will include the study of the Tachi or long sword. In 2009 Soke said we needed to work on our sword work so it is as good as our Taijutsu so this aspect of last years theme is being continued this year
Tachi or Long Sword
Add this to all the other weapons we have to train with and the list is quite formidable, but I am sure we will manage to fit it all into a fun-filled, action-packed year of training.
Also this year Soke Hatsumi has said that we shall be looking at aspects of ROKKON SHOUJOU. Soke Hatsumi has said that his theme of Rokkon Shoujou is in fact “the purification of the senses through laughter”. How we apply this to our training through the year will certainly make for interesting training. It should be a great year.
